F-117 Flying Again!!
The F-117 Nighthawk seen flying once again in the Nellis ranges. Im not saying where it was spotted, but it was in public land, and not in any of our previous range video location such as Coyote or Cedar. We first arrived at this location at around 730AM and saw something in the distance flying away from us, it banked slightly and appeared to be an F-117. We were so excited and shocked to have seen what we just saw! But we were also bummed that we didn’t get it on camera. So we started traveling up the road a bit more till we reached a dead end, we walked around a bit still in shock and didn’t really know if what we saw was really it. Suddenly, I look over towards the mountains and lucky enough, it was coming back, this time towards us and lower too! Immediately we grab our camera’s and fire away. I go on and say the date and year to give it some credit, so believe what you want. Yes they are retired, but that doesn’t mean they still can’t be flying. This was shot during the Nellis Red Flag exercise in July but not while one was in progress, in the morning around 8. The call sign I recall hearing started with an S but I couldn’t really hear. SWEET
Nice catch
Next time,take a still camera with a Telephoto lens and take closer snapshots.
well done buddy!!
@8081rt Why wait so long to post it, dude? This was a major scoop!
Wow, I winder how long they’ve been flying them behind the peoples backs. I knew hterre was no way that they could “retire” them. My best guess to why they were out, is that the airforce is working on a new fighter, either manned or unmanned, and it is comparable or part of it is like the f-117, so they pulled one of the ones out of storage, (I don’t believe that they ever disassembled or got rid of any) and are now using them again.
AWESOME,I never thought I would see it fly again!!
@lst1195 mainly because the F-22 and F-35 can do the same thing but much better
@RaiderDestroyer Ah, yeah that makes sense.
Maybe just one more mission….we will see.
@gilh1986 We did. Those shots are not going up.
@8081rt
You did?
You can make some nice cash if you’ll sell them to a leading aerospace magazines such as Airforces Monthly or Combat Aircraft
Think about it it.
Where were you guys camping that you saw this? it’s hard to read the sign…
So much for stealth, if you were able to capture it. LOL
Sweet!!! The comment on the video at the end made me laugh because it’s the exact same thing I was thinking!!! Nice catch!
wouldn’t that suck if they were using nighthawks as drones to test missiles?
@SoaringEagle2005
Exactly. Either way, crazy catch!
@8081rt Wha, why not?
umm i wonder if there doing new test on it at area 51 or somthing
Nice catch!!!
i was wondering do you work at nellis?
@8081rt lol calm down, its ok if you do. Check our up close pics of the F117
They are all retired. My ex- husband was a F-117 pilot during the late 80′s through the early 1990′s. I wonder what’s up. Trying to take the heat off the other plan that is uprange now?

Amazing!!! it would be awesome if they brought it out of retirement
